"I'm joining Shepard not because I love humans but because I love to fight," Grunt the Krogan Mass Effect 2 companion character explains in the first of two new killing-centric trailers for BioWare's January 26-due PC and Xbox 360 sci-fi RPG sequel.

Murder isn't all a bed of roses though, as Thane the assassin reveals a slightly more nuanced and highbrow take on bumping geezers off in his trailer.

Excited for this game... despite these pathetic excuses for character trailers. And they say the gaming industry doesn't market violence to children... I think it was a 13 yr old who thought this was a good marketing idea.

I think I'll take this guy in my party... not because he's a bad mamma jamma. But in hopes of him having some good lines.

The best line from ME 1 was the Krogan Commander on Feros talking to the VI. "I'm going to beat your virtual ass into actual dust." I lawl'd

I wonder if all the gun will be exactly the same except for colour and stats again in ME2. That annoyed me to no end.

The only thing I don't like about these trailers is that it makes the characters seem really 1-dimensional. Then again when you got Wrex in ME1 he was 1-dimensional until you got him to open up.

Man, this game is gonna be fucking balls out awesome. ME1 was one of the best game's I've ever played. Epic story, intense characterisation, romance, action, decisions with consequences...the list goes on.

Can't.......fucking........wait.
