Xbox LIVE Adds Parental Approval for Twitter, Facebook, and Last.FM Applications
by Jeff Mattas, Dec 09, 2009 6:20pm PSTA blog post by Larry Hyrb (a.k.a. Xbox LIVE's Major Nelson) reveals an Xbox LIVE update that makes good on the promise to quickly solve access for minors to the Twitter, Facebook, and Last.FM applications.
As outlined when they announced the temporary minor lockout on the new features, the update allows parents to approve access to these applications for accounts of children under 18 years old. Major Nelson reminds all those with child accounts to select the "Automatically log in" or "Remember Me" after getting their parental approval to prevent being prompted for it again each time an application is launched.
The update went live today for all Xbox LIVE regions except for the U.S., which will receive the update on December 15th.
