Just Cause 2 Video: 'The Laws of Physics on Drugs'

"It's a bit crazy, it's a bit unrealistic, and it's really fun and it looks very cool," director Magnus Nedfors says of Avalanche Studios' over-the-top action game sequel in the video below.

"We don't want it to be realistic," senior programmer Andreas Nilsson adds. "It's more like the laws of physics on drugs."

After a quote like that, what more is there to do except let the rest of the video speak for itself? The open-world sequel hits PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on March 23, 2010.

It's about time they bring back the game In gaming! A dev that gets It, these are "video games", not life simulators! This game looks like allot of fun and reminds me of Crackdown.

I can't wait till games with crazy physics like this make it into the Multi-player realm.
It would make for some serious hilarious moments when they have the bandwidth to mix the 2.

(I was very disappointed in CS:S when I found out the physics would be disabled, and handled client side, I was hoping for bricks/barrels flying due to grenade killing people funny)

I just LOVE how the vehicles start to roll when a tire is blown. This is how I always wanted it. I think I need to buy this game too. Pffft.

I'm really looking forward to this now, and I'm hoping it's good. It looks like a LOT of fun. Hopefully it has a lot of those "butterflies in your stomach" out of control insane moments.

I wasn't exactly interested since the first one felt too... I don't know, clunky, too bloomy, empty. And the controls weren't really fun. In this one, the bloom is still a little bad, I don't know how bland and empty the environment is, but the cars handling looks fun, a little like burnout.

I hope its awesome.

Maybe there is a little bit less gravity in this game, the cars fly too high and far. But nothing off the scale of other action and vehicle games.
The ... err ... "jumping" from vehicle to vehicle however, that looks really goofy.

I was really bummed that the PC port of the first one was nearly unplayable. I keep thinking I might try out the 360 version because this game looks like something I would LOVE. Just Cause 2 looks so damn fun.
