Supreme Commander 2 Release Dates Announced
by Chris Faylor, Nov 19, 2009 12:36pm PSTJust one day after revealing that Supreme Commander 2 is due next spring, publisher Square Enix has announced specific dates.
Gas Powered Games' strategy sequel will hit North America in PC form on March 2, with the Xbox 360 edition following March 16.
Two rather enthusiastic quotes from GPG founder Chris Taylor--"The partnership with Square Enix has been a highlight of my career" and "I couldn't be more proud of what the team has accomplished, as the game has continually exceeded all of my expectations throughout its development"--accompanied the news, as did some new footage:

But the graphics in this seem cartoonish and textures look over-simplified, which I don't like...would prefer a more realistic gritty look.
And why no map on the HUD? And the actual map seems really small and boring...looks more like a Demigod map.

2. A minimap may not be all that necessary...or it could be a toggle. If you do the mouse wheel zooming correctly...the way SC1 worked you probably wouldn't care after getting used to it.
