Apparently hackers were able to access extra multi-player modes in Modern Warfare 2 by simply entering commands into the console. Looks like the first DLC for Modern Warfare 2 is going to be $10 and a very small download. Hurray for being nickeled and dimed to death for on disk content that isn't unlocked.

Issue w/ Firefox. I'm editing a website's style sheet and when I update it the changes aren't showing up right away in Firefox. In fact I'm doing some wordpress stuff and reloading/switching themes and that change isn't happening right away either. I'm even trying to hold shift + click refresh. Nothing seems to work.

However, in Chrome it's rendering correctly and updates right away.

Any ideas?

So after I complained about MW2, I ended up getting it because of the Amazon $20 GC deal. I don't mean this to be about MW2, but it made me think of something... I'm glad the SP was so short. I have a bunch of PS3 games that I've played about 5-10 hours into and stopped, but I've played a stupid amount of HoN or TF2 or Warcraft 3 or Starcraft ... and so on.

Does anyone else find it really hard to actually sit through a single player game? It just feels like unnecessary grinding just for the ability to say "yep I did it", where I feel like a multiplayer game is worth it because I'm actually getting better at something and competing with people.

So how do you guys tackle basically impossible dragon age fights?

the dark alley portion of the city of denerim where you have basically a 12 v 4 or whatever, including about 5 archers and the mini boss. I can't seem to get past that, in fact, I can't seem to have any positioning that will even work. it's right there when you walk in, the thug quest and there's no where to set up a pull where you won't get fucking shredded by 4-5 ranged folks before you can even start trying to micromanage.

I also really hate it when the "hold here" and "move freely" bug the fuck out and don't do anything.

I had a great MW2 moment last night.

My buddy and I went through the Evasion Spec Op mission on Veteran. It's the one where you're creeping through a snowy forest having to avoid patrols and/or snipe them and their dogs.

One particular choke point kept frustrating us. We restarted about 10 times. Finally we decided to jump on Vent. So like the single player mission I was counting down "3...2...1...fire" allowing us to take down groups in a synchronized fashion.

It was awesome. I also felt like a huge nerd, but it was awesome.

I'm not missing the traditional co-op of running through the single player story. What they did here is excellent; I hope future DLC offerings give more Spec Op missions.

My experience with the game Call of Duty 6: Modern Warfare 2 single player.

Whack-A-Mole: The Video Game.

Rows of enemies hide behind waist high walls on the ground and on the roof then pop up, rinse, repeat. It was very much like Time Crisis, minus the fun of holding and aiming a gun controller. The cliched, 'GET DOWN, ZHERE'S A GRENADE! *boom* *barely misses explosion* *gets knocked down to ground while you go in and out of consciousness and friendly soldier helps you up*' couldn't have been done so many times in a video game and gotten away with it unless it was a Call of Duty game.

Also, "While I enjoyed the new setting of urban combat actually taking place in a regular American settings besides the Washington D.C. area(I rolled my eyes when I got to that part) it was hilarious how the fighting took place to control and defend a shopping square. It was like,'NOT AT MY APPLEBEE'S YOU TERRORIST BASTERDS!! lol "

I have a friend who had his Yahoo account of 11 years jacked..

The guy who did this immediatly changed the password and started contacting all my friend's contacts with a story about how he needed money urgently, etc.

Getting the account back is nearly impossible.
My friend is devastated, lost all his mail and all his client contacts.

I wonder if there's someone out there who works at Yahoo and is able to help in this situation. If yes, please say so.

So, our cat loved getting up on our desks, which is inconvenient as the best place for him to sit is right in front of or on top of our computers. To remedy this, we bought a perching shelf made for cats that you affix to a window as well as a cat bed that we put on top of it. It was ideal for him, because it was right in between our desks, so he was very happy there.

Unfortunately, he liked to push against the bed when he got in it, so one day, he pushed it off the shelf while he was half way in and fell off the shelf. Since then, he hasn't gotten back on either the shelf or the bed and actually avoids sitting in the bed regardless of where we put it.

I read that cats avoid something if it startles them once, like if you have a scratching post that falls over while they use it, they won't ever touch it again. Is there a way to train him into liking the bed again? I tried putting catnip and treats inside it, but he still doesn't want to get in.

Assuming that MS continues to make consoles and allows people to transfer their gamerscore/live account from one to the next, people born in the last couple of years could potentially have a lifelong gamerscore. I wonder if there'll be a space on future grave stones to put it.

So, this article (http://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/banned-xboxes-flood-ebay) about all the xbox 360s that were banned recently and subsequently popping up for sale on ebay got me thinking.

Is this a nice cheap way for me to get a second xbox for the bedroom? I take it the xbox will function as normal and my live profile won't be flagged in anyway as long as I keep it offline? I won't even have it connected to the network so no risk there. Or am I overlooking something?

last.fm. holy SHIT. this is amazing. i used it a bit on PC just while at work, but it's a whole new experience. high-res photos, a shitload of artists, and a really slick UI. i can see this being perfect for a party or just while chilling out in the living room. excellent sound quality.

zune marketplace - apparently they are streaming 1080p and, more importantly, 5.1. haven't tried it yet but there are some decent films on there.
