New Super Mario Bros. Wii Launch Trailer
by Chris Faylor, Nov 16, 2009 9:15pm PSTThe comic mischief of propeller hats, penguin suits and the other new features of New Super Mario Bros. Wii--especially multiplayer--are on display in this rather calm launch trailer for Nintendo's latest platformer, which hit North American shops yesterday.
Be forewarned though, as while the trailer suggests that multiplayer is a serene experience, it leaves out the swearing and the shouting that comes from bringing three more players into the mix, especially when someone steals yet another power-up.

Hmm sure gives me good memories and is tempting, but you have to ask your self was it really fair for Nintendo to make us fans wait almost 20 years to a follow up to Super Mario World on the SNES (January 01, 1990 it was released). *(not sure if it would be able to replace Super Mario World or SM3 from what I have scene ... I will have to try it out and see) *
I don't really want to rain on everyones parade. You have to admit this could of been created and released on the N 64, Game Cube, Wii at launch. I am not counting (DS version or any of the Cube N64 or Galaxy versions of Mario as a follow up to the 2d games. Mario should be 2d and nothing else, same goes for sonic)
To me this is the true squeal to Super Mario World (yes its similar to the DS version) for me at least and I find it cruel and depressing that it took this long. I am at the point where I waited forever and played games like Mini Ninjas or even the Ratchet and Clank series that have really progressed platformers to me. It seems personally that my dreams of a pimp 2d or 2.5d Mario have been long drowned in a black hole and forgotten by other games.
Anyone feel this way too? I must admit I am tempted to buy a Wii again for this game but its really hard to justify the purchase especially when you consider the quality of game that are out now?
