The Ubisoft Montreal gang also discusses the database functions of the Animus virtual reality experience, which fills players in on famous landmarks and important characters.

The open-world freelance murder simulator is headed to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on November 17, while the PC version isn't due to arrive until early 2010.

I really hate this computer stuff in there. Those unrealistic interfaces, seeing that stuff even in the world, houses turning to wireframes sometimes, and all that. It really breaks the immersion for me. I would rather have it just be set in that world, without those scenes in the lab, that add nothing to the game. (At least not for me)

Maybe I just don't have a terrible hatred for the future like some people, but I don't really mind the computer integration and futuristic setting.

What does that have to do with future hate? I don't like it when you feel all like "Hey I'm in this time period now. Oh whats that, that part of the city is a wireframe."

Uhm, that's because ... new flash, the city *isn't real*.

          You're in a simulation. :)

I like the metaplot they've got going. The simulator aspect is alo a nice little cheat to justify having health bars and ammo meters and maps and all the other information in the interface.

Overall it looks like they've learned all the right things from AC1. I'm hoping they don't find some way to fuck it up...
