Serious Sam HD: The First Encounter for PC - Gone Gold!

The PC version of Croteam's seriously chaotic FPS Serious Sam HD is now gold, according to an earlier tweet from publisher Devolver Digital.

Powered by the new Serious Engine 3, the high-definition remake tells the story of Sam "Serious" Stone's journey back to ancient Egypt to battle Notorious Mental and the Sirian army, and of the excessive and bloody carnage that ensues.

The Xbox Live Arcade version hasn't achieved gold status yet, but is expected to arrive about the same time as the PC release.

Serious Sam was fine in its day. We've moved on. Do something new, Croteam.

Hmmmm, not very enemies on screen at one here. The original game was all about having massive hordes of monsters on the battlefield. The most I saw on this video was maybe 10 at a time? Pathetic :(

I remember playing that game and looking at how amazing the sky looked. Lens flare was perfect, and the colors were amazing. It chugged on my computer back in that day. Mindless shooting game was sweet.
