League of Legends Enters Open Beta

So LOL, HON and Demigod are all similar to each other? I played Demigod for a bit, while interesting it wasn't interesting enough to grab my attention away from the other games I was playing. How do LOL and HON compare to Demigod?

I just tried this out, and it's pretty cool. It's basically Warcraft III if you only had control of one hero unit. I guess that's basically what Defense of the Ancients was, but I never played that. It's got a very WC3 look to it, but it's also got enough of its own style that it doesn't just look like a cheap mod. The in game action text for stuff like "Dodge" or similar things is fairly clear so even when a bunch of units are bunched up fighting it out, you can still see what's going on. Also as far as I can tell every champion is basically entirely unique with the only thing keeping them somewhat linked being what type of champion they are: basically there are the damage dealers, called tanks, and mages, and mixes in between, etc.

Overall, it's a neat game, and you should probably try it out since it's free. As a side note, from what I experienced, it can take upwards of an hour to get the game actually fully updated after downloading the beta client. It's worth the wait though.

I've played HoN and I've watched the QuickLook for LoL. I think at this point I'm more much more into LoL. Just looks like more fun and from what I've seen it has a much more forgiving, less dicky player-base.

Glad to see this game moving along and bringing more popularity to the genre. Even though I am not a fan of what this game brings to the table, I do wish them luck.

They just added new heroes, new ui and new maps.
