  • Ok here's the deal, my grandma LOVES mario games. She has beaten all the marios for the NES & SNES, probably hundreds of times. Since then though, most consoles have taken these games in a 3d direction that she just isn't comfortable playing in at her age. I mean, when she jumps with her mario character, she literally throws her whole body into it! She's like jumping in her chair and swinging the remote up to get that extra altitude, man it reminds me of when I was playin these games as a kid. But anyway -

My question is, can she play this one all the way thru as just one character none of this co-op or multi character business?

Also I read on the Nintendo site that shaking the wii remote does things at certain points in the game (to tilt a seesaw for example), I'm hoping to get her the classic controller so she can ignore all this wii remote stuff. Any idea if the whole game can be played thru on the classic controller?

I realize this info may not be out there, but just taking a stab at it.

P.S. Yes I know I am the luckiest grandson in the world.
