by Chris Faylor, Oct 15, 2009 12:00pm PDT"While keeping what's always been cool in Splinter Cell, Conviction allows for a faster and more instinctive gameplay experience," designer Dean Evans claims as he walks us through a few different portions of Ubisoft Montreal's stealth-action sequel.
The long-coming title, initially due in 2007, hits PC and Xbox 360 on February 23.

Even if it is supposed to represent your own personal thoughts, does this way of presenting the information make it any better than something more conventional? In my opinion, no it doesn't. I'm not even a great fan of realism in games, but if I'm going to be made to view something that I know couldn't possibly exist in reality, it's bound to break immersion more than any number of existing devices.
Of course I'll have to see how it works in-game to truly judge, but from the off, it just doesn't sit well with me.
Aside from the pivotal debate, I'm only 23, and so only 2 years older than yourself. Maybe I just started playing games at a younger age or something, but there's really no need for such derogatory tones.
