Command & Conquer 4 Screenshots: The End of the World As We Know It

With TiberiUM set to render Earth uninhabitable within years, it's no surprise that this new batch of Command & Conquer 4 screenshots hit all our favourite post-apocalyptic notes, showing a location named Junktown, a barren brown landscape, giant broken pipes and even a Thunderdome of sorts--well, a lightning dome, perhaps.

EA Los Angeles' Command & Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight will conclude the 'Tiberium saga' started by the original C&C when it arrives on PC next year, rounded out with class-based gameplay, mobile bases and a 5v5 objective-based multiplayer mode.

The C&C series was originally supposed to be a trilogy - Tiberian Dawn, Tiberian Sun, and Tiberian Twilight. It's nice they've kept the Twilight name for the finale.

I hope the Obelisks of Light have more oomph this time around - they seem to get weaker and more bizarre looking as time goes by.

If you've played 1 C&C game, you've played them all. EA's largely just banking on the history of C&C these days. I wouldn't advise anyone to pay money for it.

If you played tiberium sun and c&c3 next to each other, the only worthy difference is the graphics.

Generals Zerohour, best CNC ever for me, I played them all since the granddaddy of all RTS which was Dune2. I skipped CNC3, puked at RA3 after 2 hours of gameplay, and will play CNC4 in hopes it will bring back the feel of generals in some respect to me, once again. If cnc4, is going to be like cnc3, and you all tell me cnc3 was nothing like generals, then gg, good riddance EA and cnc.

I would like to have a new KKND: Crossfire game. That is just like the original, the same style. Not like this.

Man that was awesome. The music, the atmosphere and all. People said it was a rip off, but that didn't do that game justice.

Warcraft was my first RTS, with C&C second.
