Assassin's Creed 2 Trailer: Enter the Da Vinci Code

Leonardo da Vinci plays the Q to your 007 in Assassin's Creed II, supplying slayer Ezio with technologically advanced weapons like the "mace" and the "poison blade."

Actually, da Vinci did in fact design a number of radical weapons for the age--though he likely did not hand them out to street assassins in exchange for Kill Bux.

Assassin's Creed II arrives November 17 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Expect the PC port to show up sometime next year.

For those who're on the fence about Assassin's Creed, perspective helps; think of the gameplay as something creative and artistic - You've a limited but beautifully executed set of abilities, an expansive enviroment, and a series of simple goals. Don't come here looking for depth. Come here looking for something with a beautiful sense of flow and such visuals that you'll get lost in the gameworld, if you let yourself.

Looks good. I like the new weapon selection. Sucks that the PC version got pushed back till next year, but then again that probably means it won't be just another crappy console port, it will be a game designed around the PC.
