Monte Cristo's urban sim CitiesXL sees its release this Friday. The game is already available in demo-form, but Cristo has also put out a pair of handy walkthrough videos that thoroughly explain the offline and online modes.

After being in the beta, and playing the demo, it's just not that fun. MC touted it as the city builder for SimCity fans, and it's clearly not.. No buses, no trains, no subways... no thank you. They asked the community for input, then clearly ignored it, see for yourself at Simtropolis and read almost any comments.

Very disappointing Monte Cristo, now I know there will never be another Simcity.. and damn that's sad.
