Jack the Ripper Game Coming From Dante's Inferno, Dead Space Makers?

Evidence is mounting that well-known serial killer Jack the Ripper is to star in a new game from Dead Space and Dante's Inferno maker Visceral Games--an Electronic Arts-owned studio dedicated to "creating intense action-oriented intellectual properties."

Superannuation notes that Electronic Arts recently filed for film and game-related trademarks on "The Ripper." This led to the discovery of an overlooked LA Times report which claimed, via "sources," that Visceral was helming a Jack the Ripper game.

Electronic Arts has yet to comment on the matter. We'll keep you updated.

Wonderful. Great news.

Dante's Inferno looks like the most bland God of War ripoff I've ever seen - which only to frustrate me more -when- they're doing little more than raping the source material. Now they'll do... what, a perverted rip-off of Splinter Cell or Tenchu where you kill prostitutes and avoid ye olde English policemen?

Sounds like great news! I for one am glad to see a new developer on the scene since I knew Dead space would be good. Dante's inferno won't disappoint...

Dante's Inferno strikes me as a bit dumb as a concept (though the gameplay could still be fun, given the studio). This, on the other hand, ALL sorts of promise as a great fit.

Hey, hopefully they make a 16:10 aspect ratio with the main character taking up 1/3 of the screen. Oh, and maybe they'll include an FOV that's super fucking shallow.
