God of War Collection Packs God of War 3 Demo

The recently revealed God of War Collection will include a voucher that allows buyers to download and play God of War III's E3 2009 demo, Sony has announced.

Packing upscaled PlayStation 3-enhanced renditions of God of War and God of War II--both originally released on PlayStation 2--the $40 Collection arrives at retailers in November. God of War III, meanwhile, hits PlayStation 3 in March 2010.

I'm really disliking that in order to get demos for games nowadays you have to end up buying the game itself or something related to it... Did execs forget the whole meaning of a demo? It's supposed to be something you can try before you buy.
Looks like marketing is in control yet again.... grrrrrr.

- Have they said a demo WON'T be made available to the public? And there are a lot of preorders these days : carbontree
- the demos are almost always released to the public right before the game is out so if you want to do try ... : mc-fine

Genius move throwing in the demo! These games were good but I don't like them enough to buy them again for $40 considering I bought God of War 1&2 for $20 each. I am interested in seeing what they look running in native 720p & 60FPS though.

If they did the same with games I do in fact love, such as Ico and Shadow of the Colossus as promotion for The Last Guardian, well that would be the best video game news so far this century.
