Free Batman DLC Brings Two New Maps Thursday
by Chris Faylor, Sep 14, 2009 10:05am PDTWith the first batch of downloadable content for Batman: Arkham Asylum due out this Thursday, September 17, publisher Eidos today unveiled exactly what it will entail.
Available as a free download on all three platforms (PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360), the "Insane Night Map Pack" will bring two new challenge maps to Rocksteady's game.
The first new challenge room, "Totally Insane," sees players facing off against "scores of escaped lunatics" in close-quarters combat in the institution's record facility, with Eidos vowing that "these fast-moving foes will challenge all but the most practiced players."
The second, "Nocturnal Hunter," has players stealthily stalking foes from the shadows and "utilizing the Arkham watchtowers and Batman's arsenal of gadgets to gain the upper hand on The Joker's army of goons patrolling below."
No mention was made of the second batch of downloadable content, "Prey In The Darkness," that's apparently due the following week on Thursday, September 24.
