PlayStation Network Down for Maintenance Today
by Chris Faylor, Aug 25, 2009 9:50am PDTThe PS3 and PSP's online PlayStation Store download platform will be temporarily unavailable today due to scheduled maintenance, owner Sony has said.
The company also revealed that online multiplayer for PlayStation 3 games could be affected, as users "may encounter some difficulty while signing in to PSN."
The PlayStation Network maintenance was slated to kick off at 8am PDT / 11am EDT and "could last for several hours," Sony's Patrick Seybold wrote on the PlayStation.Blog.
Update: "The PlayStation Network is fully back online," Sony's official PlayStation Twitter account has declared. "Thank you for your patience!"
