Crysis 2 Images and Movies Tease New Nanosuit
by Chris Faylor, Aug 20, 2009 9:43am PDT"How do you improve on perfection?" asks Crynet Systems, the fictional maker of the all-powerful nanosuit featured in Crysis. "This time, we perfected the soldier," the company answers in a brochure the examines the new nanosuit of Crysis 2.
The brochure was accompanied by numerous images of the new suit in wallpaper form, as well as two videos (below) that further examine the new suit. Combined with the previous teaser trailer, this marks the whole of what we've seen from Crysis 2 thus far.
Coming to PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, Crysis 2 has no release date yet, though developer Crytek has noted that the open-world first-person shooter sequel will be powered by its internal CryENGINE 3 technology. Thanks to Smurfy12 for the tip.

But then I haven't been wide-eyed excited about a shoot-dudes-in-the-face game since... forever.

That said, I am greatly looking forward to crysis 2. Still, it's more than clear that it's been dumbed down for the consoles. Just look at those shots. Crysis's intro was prerender quality and this stuff just seems so.. average.
Personally, I feel that the most significant area that they could improve is the weapons. They were nice, but it would be nice if they could get more creative... You know maybe bring in some Future Weapons influences with next gen smart weaponry. Performance was a huge complaint agains the original crysis and I think they hammered that out with Warhead. People need to stop expecting to be able to max out a game like crysis on their radeon 9800. No one can help you if you refuse to keep up to date with the tech curve. I have an 8800 gtx and 4 gigs of ram and I can run crysis warhead with everything maxed out except shadows and post processing (1680x1050) at a steady 40 fps. Someone has to push the power of the PC eventually. PC gamers always harp on about how the PC has better hardware than the consoles, but when a game comes out that actually leverages this superior hardware, they get all pissy.

NONE. Plus what game looks as good? NONE. Crysis 2 will leave every other game in the dust graphically and immersively when it comes out, just like Crysis did before.

"the N2 can even extract usable energy from battlefield carrion "
" SECOND (the non-sentient AI in charge of the suit) can also take over the operator's purely autonomic and regulatory functions in the event of somatic damage"
I wonder if those characteristics will reflect in the final gamplay :).
