Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver Announced

Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver will hit stores next month in Japan, followed by a spring release in North America. The games are remakes of the Pokemon Gold and Pokemon Silver games from Game Boy Color. Trailer follows:

It'd be nice to have to fight a gym leader a couple time in a row, ala when I was 12 and tried like 20 times to beat brock with my charmander.

You should probably mention in this article that these are remakes of the Gold & Silver games that were released for Game Boy Color, but using the Diamond/Pearl/Platinum engine.

Actually, I did pick up Platinum on an impulse earlier in the week. It's entertaining, but it seems to be missing something about it that reeled me in like the series' first two generations did. If these remakes have have enough new features, I may need to take up that addiction in full again. Daddy needs a proper hit.
Such as going back to the continent from Red/Blue, and fighting through that league. That pretty much made Gold/Silver the greatest Pokemon games so far.
