Contest: Want to Play Borderlands on Friday?

I'm going to Disneyland Borderland! Thank you Shacknews and Gearbox, I just peed a little.

woot! thanks shacknews and the shackers who supported me :) i will spill all the beans im allowed to spill :)

1) i live in plano and
2) i have friday off because:
3) friday is my birthday and
4) ive been following borderlands for close to 2 years and
5) shed a tear every time ive had to move it back on my "games" calendar and
6) im long on borderlands stock on the simexchange to the tune of around 2mil between the platforms because
7) i genuinely believe its going to be the game that eats my life in the way no game has since diablo 2

i want it. i want it badly. did i mention its gonna be my birthday, my buh-buh-birthday?

This is the first time I have ever I wanted to go to Texas. I changed planes there once but just to go to Shreveport. Borderlands looks amazing, great work Gearbox! I will stay in CA.

I'd love to get an early look at the game (living in Keller, it wouldn't be much of a drive). As to a reason, why not?

Shame it is going to be happening at the same time as the GameFly QuakeCon Shackmeet.

I'd love to try out Borderlands and to see Gearbox's HQ. I'm an aspiring game developer who's planning on attending The Guildhall next year in Plano and I'd love to see a AAA studio firsthand.

Plus, what's a better way to follow up what was the worst weekend ever after having my wisdom teeth removed. Ouches!

I should go, because I have a burning sensation in my loins to see Millions and Millions of Guns.

I love that Borderlands box art! It has a great feel, the kinda feel like you should shout, "Kazzam!" every time you get a head shot. :-)

Damn. I would absolutely love an opportunity to do this but that day is all but booked with QuakeCon happenings.

Great opportunity, for those close enough on short notice. I'd most certainly be interested, being in AZ.

Why would I "deserve" to go? How do you answer that...

I'm a life-long musician, writer and artist, also a hardcore gamer for most of my life, and have a great appreciation for games as art, which I truly feel Borderlands to be nothing short of, given how much creativity has gone into both the unique art design and gameplay.

Having such a creative mind, it's been suggested to me by quite a few to get into the gaming industry, but alas, that's not something you can just "up-and-do" that easily. Would be great to get into such a reputable studio and maybe see some things in action.

...and quite honestly, having suffered physically for the last nine years and being stuck in AZ doing nothing, it would be a wonderful trip for both myself and my wife.

It's simple, I want to send the following email to the my direct supervisor, "Dear Greg, i will not be in the office Friday afternoon. I have a personal issue involving 87 bazzillion guns that needs special attention this Friday afternoon at 4pm in Plano Texas. I shall return to work Monday happier then you've ever seen me."

I should be chosen because I wont end up selling it at quakecon or ebay for profit.

Because I just moved to Lewisville to live with my fiance to take care of her father who was recently diagnosed with diabetes. I came from Fairfax, VA and am currently adjusting to the heat and need a reason to stay inside on a Friday afternoon. I would appreciate a chance to try it out although I'll be honest I know very little of the plot, just know that they recently had an art change and it's supposed to be a FPS w/ RPG elements.
