Hey hey, it's your birthday. What? It's not? Well, let's pretend it is. Your present: the in-game animation for the Harmonix rendition of The Beatles' celebratory "Birthday." It was between that and a new Fairytale Fights trailer, so you oughta be pretty happy.

The Beatles: Rock Band is released September 9 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii.

Uh, oh. Looks like Harmonix has screwed up. In this video, McCartney appears to be playing a guitar ... a six string, non-bass guitar. I was scolded a few months ago for mentioning McCartney ever played a guitar with the Beatles by the experts here at the Shack. Therefore it is clear that Harmonix has blown it!

I'm really glad Harmonix is making this game and not the people that are now behind the Guitar Hero games. Those guys would have ruined it or at least made the game no fun.

Maybe it is too late for this feature but how about system linking two x360s together so that a second one could output just the animation (like in this trailer) sans the note charts for RB parties.
