Batman Arkham Asylum Trailer: Greatest Hits

With a downloadable demo of Batman: Arkham Asylum hitting all three platforms--PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360--later this week, co-publishers Warner and Eidos have issued a trailer that summarizes past vignettes in, essentially, a greatest hits montage.

Developed by Rocksteady, the detective brawling game hits retail on August 25.

I agree with that. I don't think pushing back the release date helped: The media seemed to be being released quite steadily to build up in a very planned way, then the release date moved and hype had already got to critical mass. I guess it became something of a task to maintain a level of interest after the saturation point.

Still looking forward to it though - hope it's not too repetitive. I'm banking on a good story.

I really hope this doesn't suck. I don't want to read or watch another thing about it before I play it though, so that perhaps I haven't ruined it in the event that it doesn't suck. How could this possibly suck? It looks too good, doesn't it? Why do I have the feeling that it's going to suck? It should be great! Right?

Although I appreciate some clips and screenshots from games, I think Eidos has released too much media on this title. I think this can be a bad thing. I for one, have stopped watching the clips they keep releasing.

I want at least SOME cut scenes to be "new" to me.
