This is a classic, awesome fighting game, but SF4 looks more interesting because of it being new and very well reviewed (even though a lot of complaints have come out about balance issues that havent been fixed and what not)

Marvel on the other hand is completely broken, only 9 characters are so are used at top level, and only 4 based on their virtues and not their assists (Magneto, Storm, Sentinel, Cable). However, I'm willing to bet the majority of players online will be bad too and will make no attempt to get better and pick their favorites. People talk about Guilty Gear having a steep learning curve but honestly, I think Marvel's is far, far worse.
Just know if you're not playing the four you're going to get autorolled sometime and there's pretty much nothing you can do about it if the person has any idea what they're doing.
