Fans of Colin McRae racers will enjoy this media blast from Codemasters, a three-video extravaganza showing off the upcoming DiRT 2.

The sequel hits September 8 on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, DS and PSP. The PC version is coming later in December, apparently due to a lengthy DirectX 11 upgrade.

I realise that they've focused on the offroad racing in these trailers, but for me the most enjoyable part of the original Dirt game was the big rigs. The downer for me was that you could only drive them on the two hill climb tracks.

I'm personally hoping for more big rig action on way more tracks in Dirt2.

That is how every trailer should be....

The game tho not my thing. I dont think it looks anymore impressive than other rally games Iv played. I dont think I will get the kinda rally game I want out of this generation of consoles.

Fantastic to see a trailer which hasn't gone through the MTV Filter!

Not a game I'll buy full price, but when it's a budget game, why not. I just bought Motorstorm 2 AND Pure (impulse buy), so I'm set for the forseeable future when it comes to racing.

(Honestly, isn't it a bit to much 'work' with Pure? Pre-load, remembering what tricks you've done. Felt more like work than fun. Oh, well)

Am I tripping or is that a modified rally Z4 m-coupe in the first video? Because I have that car and I had no idea there was a rally version. I don't even see how that could work because it isn't all wheel drive. I know there is a wider and lower version modified for GT racing, but not off-road.

Because that is awesome if so.
