Borderlands Gets Solid Release Date

Gearbox's post-apocalyptic shooter-RPG Borderlands (PC, PS3, Xbox 360) heads off to North American retailers on October 20, publisher 2K Games informed GameSpot.

The international release will follow a few days later, with the game rolling into Europe and other territories on October 23.

I was wondering.. has anyone have any ideas of to how long this game story lines out?

12 hours gameplay
100 hours gameplay

it says rpg, but it looks more like aracade adventure with one stiff storyline..

it has very high fashionable to have a super cool graphics,, player ability..
but only having a 3 day game time.. I beat games pretty quick even when I try to take my time.. some times i will even put the difficulty on hard just to hope it becomes more difficult.. another thing I hate.. why lock out the most difficult setting when 95% of the time.. after a game is finished no one even plays it..

I'd buy this game if the characters didn't looks like they were drawn buy a leaky sharpie. WTF? You have a great concept, lots of items and weapons and a cool RPG concept and you have to go and ruin it with bad cell shading?

I just watched a preview of this game on X-Play ... VERY impressed.. I will be picking this up the day it comes out.. "Role playing shooter" is exactly my type of game.. Similar to System Shock, but a lot faster paced.. Too bad Steve wasn't there to demo it on the show..

Well the art style and splitscreen co-op should help Borderlands differentiate itself from the pack, I just hope 2K gives it the proper media attention to pull people in.

I have a feeling that the game will disappoint when it launches. It just seems too ambitious in its design to be ready to go on three platforms this soon. I hope I'm wrong, but I didn't care for the bugs and such when the last BiA game dropped.
