Iron Man 2: The Video Game: The First Trailer
by Chris Faylor, Jul 22, 2009 8:02am PDTThough it doesn't officially kick off until tomorrow, the onslaught of San Diego Comic-Con related news continues as Sega has issued the first trailer for Iron Man 2.
While Sega San Francisco assisted with the critically panned Iron Man game back when it was known as Secret Level, the company says it has "paid close attention to comments from fans and critics concerning the first Iron Man movie game," resulting in "a greater focus on powerful hand-to hand combat, as well as a completely redesigned control scheme, making it more fun for gamers to feel the power and strength of Iron Man."
With a script written by Iron Man and Casanova comic scribe Matt Fraction, Iron Man 2 is due on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, Nintendo DS and PSP next spring. There's no firm date on the game quite yet, but don't be surprised if it hits alongside the film in May.
"Iron Man 2 presented me with the opportunity to work...on creating something wholly unique - a story that exists at the crossroads of the comics I write, the film universe I was lucky enough to be asked to contribute to, and a wholly immersive interactive experience," explained Fraction. "I hope it's as exciting and challenging to play as it was to write."
