Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising Release Dated

Codemasters has announced that Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising will be arriving in North American stores on October 6, Europe on October 8, then October 9 in the UK.

War is gritty. And grainy.

The PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 battlefield simulator was originally slated for a summer release but delayed to "balance the player experience throughout the game."

Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising is developed inhouse at Codemasters. Series creator Bohemia Interactive recently released its own battlefield sim sequel, ArmA 2.

I have to admit that the screenshorts weren't nearly as gritty and grainy as I would have expected. I feel like Shacknews has failed me on this occasion and I'm not sure I'm going to trust Spongeface on captions ever again
