God of War Novelisations Announced
by Alice O'Connor, Jul 14, 2009 9:49am PDTPublisher Del Rey has announced it is to publish two novels based upon the ultra-violent video game series, the first arriving alongside God of War 3 in March 2010.
"With all the thrilling action that got fans hooked on the game," the press release states, "the novel GOD OF WAR takes us deeper into this fascinating world." Readers are promised battles against not only mythical monsters but inner demons too.
The first novel is written by Matthew Stover, who has authored several Star Wars novels including the novelisation of Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith.
A God of War movie is also in the pipeline, directed by X-Men: The Last Stand director Brett Ratner and written by David Self, who wrote the screenplay for Road to Perdition.
