Champions Online Open Beta Begins August 17

The open beta for Cryptic's new superhero MMO Champions Online will begin on August 17, according to VG247.

While the current closed beta is limited to specific hours, the open beta will run 24 hours a day without interruption.

The PC version of Champions is scheduled to launch on September 1, while the Xbox 360 version is planned to hit sometime in the latter half of the year.

I think they made a mistake delaying this game. I was going to buy it to play over the summer.... but now I'm just going to wait until Aion comes out.

I really can't wait for this game, I've been dying to get into the Beta for this since it was first announced since October and nothing yet. I built a new PC to play it (and ST:O) on too.
