Command & Conquer 4 Officially Announced
by Chris Faylor, Jul 08, 2009 9:44am PDTFollowing the recent revelation of Command & Conquer 4 in a marketing survey, Electronic Arts today officially announced the announcement of the strategy game sequel.
Few details are available, however, as the announcement itself isn't yet available. You see, Joystiq noticed that the publisher used Twitter to declare that "EA LOS ANGELES ANNOUNCES DEVELOPMENT OF COMMAND & CONQUER 4," and the provided link doesn't actually pull up that press release.
Some tentative details were suggested in that survey, which stated that "Command & Conquer 4 allows C&C fans to finally experience the epic conclusion to the 15-year Tiberium saga with innovative RPG-like player progression, persistent in both single player and Multiplayer modes, co-op play, and new stylized, live-action cinematics."

The one that has even almost even barely come close was Supreme Commander, but I feel they could have balanced the game out more to aspire to the levels of TS.
RTS = Real-Time >>>***!!!STRATEGY!!!***<<<
The whole strategy thing hasn't been relevant to game developers in a really long time as they usually focus on one aspect of strategy, offense, and completely nerf / ignore / balance the defense aspects of it.
You should be able to win a game with a majority of defense, too. You shouldn't need to rush the other player to win, and if you don't expand quickly, you shouldn't be at such a disadvantage that you cannot win if it goes long.

EA has been teasing great news for C&C fans for early july.
Gamestar Magazine will feature a new C&C on the cover of their late july issue.
And Gamespot just posted a C&C retrospective vid that just screams "we have the exclusive reveal of the next game".
And hey, I don#t think that the series was that bad with the sequels.
15 years - 7 rts - 8 expansions - 1 fps - 1 cancelled fps - 1mmo game
Now we just need a new engine, as Saga is 7 years old or so...
RA3 still has no LAN support for co-op, doesn't it?

Let me guess, you play the same wipe-the-bases for 15-20 scenarios and then you fight some kind of nod super unit at the end. Then an expansion is released where kane is shown to be not dead and comes back.
Basically a remake of tiberium war who is itself a remake of tiberium sun.
