Street Fighter IV for PC is now available for pre-order with a 10% discount on digital distributors Steam and Impulse, bringing Capcom's fighter down to $35.99.

Street Fighter IV PC is released on July 7, packing several new graphical filter effects and Games for Windows Live support to give achievements, online play and rankings.

Celebrations in response to the deal's announcement vary.

Combatants curious as to how Street Fighter IV will run on their PC can test its might with the excellent SF4 benchmark tool, featuring several AI-controlled matches.

Well, what do you know...

With this 10% discount, the Steam version now only costs slightly more than having a physical copy delivered to my home on release day from halfway across Europe. Oh, and it unlocks 3 days later than the retail copy would arrive.

Why do you continue to fail me, Steam? I had such high hopes for you...

Do we know if PC players will be able to play against XBox360 players? I don't think anything should give us an unfair advantage in a fighting game.

Great game; would get my ass kicked again.

The MadCatz bundle @ $60 does seem a good deal too though, since you get a decent USB gamepad for the game with it.

downloaded and ran the benchmark and im getting 30 fps, is this good or what ? it seems to run somehow in slow-motion but not laggy which makes me wonder if the benchmark itself was like that or not

Ugh, going to have to upgrade to a new laptop just so I can carry this around with me. Toss the laptop and my PS3 Tournament Edition FightStick in a backpack and I have Ultra Combos on the go.

With keyboard it will be a pain in the ass. I have an xbox 360 controller. It is probably bad as well because of the..cross (can't remember the name...digital cross button stuff. Dammit)
