Trine Available for Steam Preorder: $30, Includes Bonus Copy of Shadowgrounds
by Nick Breckon, Jun 26, 2009 3:13pm PDTFollowing the release of an impressive demo for Frozenbyte's very attractive action-platformer Trine, the PC version is now available for preorder on Steam.
Trine will cost $30 on the service--as opposed to the reported $40 retail pricetag--and will include a free copy of Frozenbyte's co-op, run-and-gun shooter Shadowgrounds as a preorder bonus.
A PlayStation 3 version of the title is expected to be released in weeks, while Atlus is planning to bring the downloadable game to Xbox 360 later this year.
As for the release date of the PC version, publisher Nobilis yesterday announced a July 3 release date, though some retailers are still listing the European retail version for July 10. Shacknews has contacted Nobilis and Frozenbyte for comment on the confusion.

is that an incentive for anyone here?
i'd really prefer 10%-20% off for preorder.

I might just wait now and see if they do add in online coop in a patch, or a steam sale weekend :/

Also, what are your thoughts on the Metaboli service? I saw that when you exit the Trine demo you get redirected to the Trine order page there... how is their service in comparison to Steam's?
