Dementium 2 Continues DS First-Person Horror

Renegade Kid is spawning Dementium II, sequel to its Nintendo DS first-person shooter Dementium: The Ward, publisher SouthPeak Games has announced. A teaser trailer suggest suggests a sanitarium will once again be home to heebie jeebies.

"Regardless of what some say about 'M' rated games on Nintendo DS, the original Dementium proved there is an audience hungry for a top notch handheld horror title," said SouthPeak VP of Marketing Richard Iggo. "We aim to feed this bloodthirsty crowd."

Dementium II is scheduled for release on Nintendo DS in the first quarter of 2010.

After this game erased all my progress because I died at the boss, I couldn't care less. Apparently I am supposed to shut the game off *before* dying there if I want to keep my quicksave. What a fucking retarded mechanic.

What a coincidence. Today while driving to Best Buy I remembered Dementium 1 and what a great game it was for DS standards (in terms of technology). But after a huge disappointment with MOON, I kinda lost hopes with anything they could potentially offer in the future.

I just hope they improve on the saving mechanism - players of the original u know what I'm talking about (monsters respawn if u come back to an area, but ammo doesn't respawn wtf).

I'll definitely be picking this up
