First Just Cause 2 Trailer Released

Ahead of its showing at the Electronic Entertainment Expo this week, Eidos has released the first trailer from the open-world action game sequel Just Cause 2.

In development at Avalanche Studios, which also developed the first game, Just Cause 2 is expected to be released for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 some time in 2010.

The PC controls on the first one were some of the worst I have ever experienced in my life. Are they any better on the Xbox? I want to like this game so much even though I've barely played any of it, and the sequel somehow still interests me.

The trailer for the first one made it look like GTA:South America but actually playing the game was a shitty experience for me. I don't know if there was a difference between versions but the pc version stunk something fierce. Animation and gameplay(cars controlled like crap) were both horrible.

I think this is great news, I loved Just Cause. Just picked it up on 360 not too long ago. I played through a lot of it on PC a couple years ago, but there was a severe memory leak that would cause the game to start skipping really bad after 10-20 mins of gameplay. Restarting the game every 20 mins was unacceptable, and they never patched it, so I shelved it. Runs great on 360 though, it was obviously meant to be a console game. I never thought they'd make a sequel though, so this is awesome. Maybe it was my purchase that put them over the top, and said "wow this game's selling great, time for a sequel!". Well, I can dream.

I liked the first but most of its gameplay, especially the driving felt unbalanced and unfinished.
The skydiving and grappling was a lot of fun though. I hope they did a better job with the rest of the game this time.

I like every game with a grappling hook, certainly if you can do stuff like they showed in the trailer. I don't care if it's unrealistic :p
