Champions Online Delayed
by Alice O'Connor, May 18, 2009 6:10am PDTChampions Online developer Cryptic Studios has announced that the superhero MMO has been delayed until September 1 to add features and a spot of polishing.
"It is critically important for an MMO to be as good as it possibly can be at launch," said executive producer Bill Roper, mere weeks after a launch date of July 16 was given.
"Through our constant dialogue with our vocal and supportive community of beta testers, we quickly realized that in order to implement certain features that we all considered important the development of Champions Online would require more time."
The undated console release planned for later has presumably also been put back.

But, I'm with everyone else. Will Atari be able to hold out that long? Clock's ticking!

I like the beta thus far, and I'm even happier they're waiting to release it.
