Trion's MMO 'Heroes of Telara' to be Unveiled at E3
by Nick Breckon, May 06, 2009 6:12pm PDTDeveloper Trion World Network, most recently in the news for teaming up with Petroglyph on an MMORTS, today announced that it will be unveiling its own MMORPG "Heroes of Telara" at E3 this year.
"In Heroes of Telara players are challenged to conquer the unknown in an epic, ever-changing world," says the company.
Trion claims the game will be "driven by recurring events, unexpected challenges and limitless new content." None of which will involve collecting boar ears, I'm sure.
More details are sure to come when E3 kicks off on June 2.

What I don't like is the lack of originality in titles. I see the same thing with fantasy books. The names they come up with are just a string of vowels and soft consonants that sound kind of airy and mystical.
World of Warcraft works. Eve Online works. Anarchy Online, City of Heroes, etc.
I get nervous when I hear a name like "Heroes of Telara". It just sounds so... generic. At least try for an original sounding fake-place-name, like "Krynn" or something.

Blizzard have made the barrier to entry so high that general thought is that even with this cash it will sink quicker than the Titanic.
I don't have much faith in there project - Also reading about the tie in with the Sci Fi channel and new kingdoms of fantasy feel that they are going down a well trodden path that others created and dont seem to be doing anything new or enterprising.
Good luck to them and lets see.
