City of Heroes Reactivates Accounts for Anniversary

To celebrate City of Heroes' fifth anniversary, NCSoft has reactivated all expired retail and trial City of Heroes and City of Villains accounts for free until 11:59pm EST Sunday.

Retired heroes and villains have five days to uphold/crush justice in Paragon City and check out all the updates they've missed--first and foremost a swanky mission editor.

No anniversary is complete without celebrations and NCSoft promises a full utility belt of festivities and special events, with in-game commemorative badges for all party-goers.

For some reason I'm only getting 21kB/s using the updater, and I'm on a 20mbps connection here. Since yesterday I've downloaded 343MB. Wonder why it's not downloading faster...

The mission editor is pretty amazing. It's neat that they worked it into the world fiction, but regardless it changes the playing field for MMO's. They have now generated several times more content through the editor than was created by the Dev's in the five years of working on the game! And there is as much user generated content rated 4 stars as the Dev's have made... so it's not like all the user gen content is just crap.
