25
The first post-Survival patch for Left 4 Dead has gone live, fixing a number of exploits and bugs introduced in the free update.

The patch notably addresses exploits on several Survival mode maps. Tank-spawning bugs and leaderboard issues have also been alleviated. The full list of changes:

  • Darkened the Lighthouse background movie and increased the contrast with the user interface elements
  • Chapter selection is now available when creating a Survival lobby
  • Single player coop now works correctly after playing Survival online
  • The correct game mode will be set when playing back a demo
  • Changed holdout server spew to be development only
  • Stats are no longer updated while viewing a demo
  • Correctly update the leaderboard based on the player's personal time, not the team best time
  • Show the player's best time in the scoreboard
  • Removed Survival exploits from The Terminal, Last Stand, The Crane, The Boathouse and The Warehouse
  • Fixed tanks sometimes not spawning after 15-20 minutes

Shame this doesn't come with a leaderboard reset, I don't think anyone will beat the more ridiculous times now.

Why is the Shack using these dated comparison photos for the game screenshots? Half of them are from the game's beta, and none of them is very flattering or representative.

Yeah, I had friends who got over the 10 min mark in Survival easily because the AI wasn't able to reach them in specific areas in maps other than "Lighthouse".

We made it 20 minutes. The tanks just got lost or something.
