Guitar Hero 2 Tracks Poached for Smash Hits

Following through on its promise to string along the track announcements for Guitar Hero Smash Hits as long as possible, Activision today announced the songs pulled from Guitar Hero II for the "best of" project.

The selected tracks include Rush's "YYZ," Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Free Bird," and other favorites from Harmonix' second title in the series. nope Unlike Guitar Hero II, the tunes selected for Smash Hits will be entirely composed of master tracks, 48 of which have been derived from former Guitar Hero setlists. The game hits PS2, PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii on June 16.
