To promote today's release of three free F.E.A.R. 2 multiplayer maps, developer Monolith has crafted what easily ranks as one of the most amazing trailers I've ever seen.

The "Toy Soldiers" downloadable content is now available for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 users, with two other as-yet-unpriced downloadable add-ons coming soon.

That was hilarious. Those 80s commercials suckered me into buying so many toys only to realize they were not nearly as awsome on my living room floor as they were in the jungles and fortresses they built for the commercial.

The kicker here is I think it makes people less likely to buy the game now. Who wants to spend $60 on the game then immediately have to turn around and pay another $10 to play with their friends online? Even if it is on sale, that defeats the purpose of waiting around for the sale.
