Resident Evil 5 Versus DLC Dated

9
Capcom has announced today that the Versus multiplayer mode downloadable content for Resident Evil 5 will arrive on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 tommorow, April 7.

Versus adds online 1v1 and 2v2 play in two new modes. Slayer's Rule is a simple and harmless point-based jaunt where teams compete to slaughter hapless subhuman Majinis. In Survivor's Rule, players hunt the most dangerous quarry of all--each other.

Versus will cost 400 Microsoft Points ($5 on PS3), a price Capcom defended as reflective of the costs and effort involved after fans reacted angrily to the announcement.

How do you expect to have an enjoyable online experience when you can't shoot and move at the same time. and now I have to pay for it?

      It's RE, not Gears.

What the hell does that have to do with RE5 having terrible controls? This'll be more a joke than anything serious.

Agreed, every encounter is going to result in both parties stopping to aim / fire, whoever stops / locks on first wins, yay!

Yeah, whoever has better aim will always win, they'll just hit you in the head again and again. And since you can't move, you can't dodge the headshots.

Man, a Dead Space multiplayer mode would be tons better... and I might actually pay for that add-on.

Pay or not, I'm excited to compete online with any RE game. Does anyone know if there are achievements along with this DLC?
