Shack PSA: Far Cry 2 $15 on Steam Today
by Chris Faylor, Mar 26, 2009 4:28pm PDTAs Ubisoft and Valve's week of one-day Steam discounts continues, the duo are now offering up a download of Far Cry 2 PC for $14.99--50% off the usual asking price.
Released this past October, Ubisoft Montreal's open-world first-person shooter has players taking missions in Africa whilst trying to fight off a nasty bout of malaria.
Far Cry 2 also marked the first retail game to debut DLC via Steam. At $5, the Fortune's Pack add-on brings more weapons, vehicles, and multiplayer maps to the game.

There was something so unsatisfying about clearing out a checkpoint to get to an objective, then 5 minutes later after your objective is complete, you're driving through the same checkpoint and it's completely re-stocked with enemies. The game just doesn't give you any sort of feeling of accomplishment whatsoever and that's its biggest downfall.
