Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Coming Nov. 10, Extremely Cryptic Teaser Trailer Released

Infinity Ward's anticipated Call of Duty sequel Modern Warfare 2 will be released on November 10, the developer announced this evening at the GDC Choice Awards.

Platforms for the war-based shooter have yet to be announced, but PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 editions are a given at this point. A teaser trailer was also released, with the emphasis on teaser, as there's no clear gameplay footage within. Grab it from FileShack, or click through to take a quick look and a good listen.

but i really wonder if infinity ward can break from the formula they created in CoD2. It was great, and the last MW game was great, but it is starting to feel very stale with the whole whack-a-mole shooting approach.

As long as they top the first mission (SAS, the crazy escape from the ship was just awesome.) and the flash back mission (all guillied up) I will be happy. Actually, if they include the SAS at all, I'll be happy.

HELL YEAH! Infinity Ward knows how to make and balance a game. This is gonna be awesome. The SAS team is sure to be back and I've got my fingers crossed for a coop feature in the single player campaign. CoD4 multiplayer was a blast! I can't wait equip UAV Jammer again and introduce all of you to my knife. Bring it on!

I used to think Modern Warfare was good, then Battlefield Bad Company came out... I know COD is a more popular series but people should give BC a chance it COMPLETELY blows COD away. With all the awesome vehicles, better graphics, MUCH better sounds, bigger servers, fully destructible environments, more unlockables, etc. I know it sounds like I'm just doing a sales pitch but no way can I get excited about the COD series (or any FPS series) anymore. Even as amazing as Killzone 2 is the worlds just feel static and small now compared to BC's HUGE maps that continuously expand as you go through the objectives online. Can't wait for BC2.

I loved modern warefare. The cinematic presentation was awesome and the mp was very deep. Still, im hoping they adress some of the issues like :
1) The LMGs having almost no recoil
2) The campaign being very short

Some experimental weaponry would be nice too, like airburst rounds..

I hope they allow weapon and perk restrictions on multiplayer servers. There are so many servers that ban you for 'nade launches, Martyrdom / Last Stand, Claymores, etc. They should allow server owners to just restrict them.

...And have more bolt rifles. Bolt-only weapons are the way to go.

I hope they have another AC-130 mission, the last one was phenominal. A drone mission would be neat, too, if done right.

And I know this wont happen, but the spawning of enemies and endless waves needs changing in singleplayer. Its lame to toss a grenade into a room, then walk in and be ambushed by guys who have just spawned in there.
