Probably. But it was still funny. You know Ben is gonna wake up from getting his ass kicked by Sun, he's gonna see a resurrected-from-the-dead John Locke laughing his ass off over top of him and all of a sudden a memory of Sayid shooting him when he was boy is going to pop in his head. His mind will explode trying to figure all that shit out.

My take is that it's still predestination, as Eloise stated, they all needed to be there or break the space-time continuum (it won't happen until the season finale where someone completely fucks up). So, Sayid would have always killed young Ben, but because Jack is there, he's able to help pull out the bullet and heal Ben back up. This of course turns suspicion on the group per the teaser for next week.
Also, this supports an idea about the Smoke Monster, who is there to remove elements from the island that are not part of predestination, in a manner similar to the "Father's Day" episode of Doctor Who. The Smoke Monster will soon become very active.... -
