Fez Trailer Brings 3rd Dimension to 2D Platforming

This new Fez trailer shows the charmingly retro-styled adventures of Gomez, a 2D man who must master the mysterious 3rd dimension to open new paths and solve puzzles.

Indie developer Polytron is partially funding Fez by selling t-shirts featuring its cute hero.

The trailer mentions a vague and ominous date: 2009. Platforms have yet to be announced, though rumours suggest Xbox Live Arcade and PC releases.

Looks like Crush. Since Crush is PSP only I can see this being the substitute fpr PC and Xbox gamers. Cool beans.

I really liked the concept of this that was sort of executed in Super Paper Mario, though this looks like it utilizes more 'sides' of the level than SPM did (which mostly had two perspectives from what I played) and it's probably much more platform focused, which is great because I love platformers. Can't wait! I'd buy a shirt if their store wasn't down :(

I'm cautiously optimistic for this game, but I'm wondering how it'll compare to Crush. Looks like the transition is a bit smoother and more natural (that and the gameplay seem more Cave Storyish).
