Metalocalypse Animators Found Game Studio, Developing Post-apocalyptic Zombie Pirate Game
by Chris Faylor, Mar 18, 2009 3:02pm PDTTitmouse, the animators behind beloved shows Metalocalypse and The Amazing Screw-on Head, today announced the inception of Titmouse Games and its first project.
Dubbed Seven Haunted Seas, the game is an action-RPG for unspecified consoles. It follows "an undead pirate, Scurvy Pete, that returns from hell to find a dark, post-apocalyptic future where he must right all his wrongs to restore the world."
No publisher has been signed, and no release estimate has been given.
Gaming industry veteran Aaron Habibipour is serving as Titmouse's creative director. Across the past eight years, his roles have included senior producer on Neversoft's Guitar Hero III and art producer for High Moon Studios' Darkwatch.
While Seven Haunted Seas is Titmouse's first in-house game, the company is no stranger to the industry, having worked with Neversoft on the cinematic openings for the last four Guitar Hero titles, including III, World Tour, and Metallica.

Pirate/Zombie hype is getting a little stale, but I'd like to see what they do with it.
