Starsiege: Tribes Ported to Browsers on InstantAction
by Nick Breckon, Mar 17, 2009 10:50am PDTA web-based version of Dynamix's classic team-based multiplayer shooter Starsiege: Tribes is soon coming to browser gaming portal InstantAction.
The InstantAction port of Tribes will feature enhanced graphics and modding options, according to Kotaku.
InstantAction was created by GarageGames, a company founded by several former Dynamix employees. The team released a web-based spiritual sequel to Tribes, Fallen Empire: Legions, last year.
We'll have more on the Tribes browser port following next week's GDC, where a playable version of the game will be on display.

I had fun back this past weekend playing with the shackers on the Goon server with TribesNext. Tribes 2 still has to be one of my favorite PC games of all time. Hope to see more shackers get into it soon.

They have a game called Legions that is to be a sucessor to
Tribes. If they update Tribes the theres no reason to
work on Legions.
This seems to me more like a Valve move, let's have Counter-Strike 1.6 but never update it and add ingame ads but we have Counter-Strike Source and all updates will go to that.

First quake and now tribes...I'll never get any work accomplished!
please allow people playing in browser to connect to current Tribes 1 servers to...
don't make this a separate type thing, keep the community that still plays Tribes 1 intact
