Weekend Discussion

by Chris Faylor, Mar 07, 2009 10:47am PST

A new chatty approaches, one filled with unlimited potential and promise.

It is shaping up to be a rather nice weekend here in Indiana. The temperature's hovering around the mid-60s, meaning that I can finally pull flip-flops out of the closet, and maybe even hang my beloved hammock. Too bad it's getting cold again next week.

But next week isn't now! So if you'll excuse me, I'm off to enjoy what today has on offer.

  • Ok, so i bought Dawn of War 2 after you bitches made me feel Shackhype again.

    The good:

    - It made me quit WoW again (which imho says it is pretty good)
    - Cooping single player campaigns is fucking awesome.
    - Fucking up your little brother's talentbuilds because you get to control his heroes in his campaign is equally awesome.

    - Single player is addicting.
    - Multi player is fun and has a lot more depth than i previously thought (you will not miss the base building).

    The bad:

    - Ending the single player like they do now is retarded. Why? Because when you finally get to the end the whole thing locks up and you can't use your cool level 20 dressed heroes ever again. WHY. There's plenty of random missions BEFORE i decide to end the campaign ones?

    - How much logo's can a company push into an intro? Hai developers, this is 2009 where you can make your logo CLICKABLE and direct your customers from your game to various website by using this fabulous thing called the internet. Plying your stupid ass animated logo in front of your game like it's a 80's b-movie is lame.

    - Whoever designed the multi player interface should be shot. Battle.net is over 10 years of age. Just copy the goddamn thing if you have no clue how to make your multi player interface work.

    - If you include voip, please make a MENU for it where one can configure the voip settings. Makes sense, doesn't it?
