Replay Mini: LittleBig Contra

Seven dedicated souls over on the NeoGAF forums worked together to complete this full remake of Contra in LittleBigPlanet.

Each of the eight stages from Konami's game were painstakingly recreated in cute, LBP style. After a lengthy development process, the levels have been released into the LittleBigPlanet wild, where they will hopefully not be struck down immediately for copyright infringement.

The BEST thing Konami (and other license holders) could do would be to reward efforts like these! If they posted even something small (for marketing) of say, $500 or so every couple of months, it would encourage more content creation. Playing "Contra" in LBP would never hurt Contra sales, but instead encourage players to play the real thing. Also, it gives the license holders a second win as they would be viewed favorably for not hoarding their IP (intellectual property) - in fact they would be promoting the use of their IP.

No matter how you face it, several thousand dollars of rewards would go a lot farther for spreading their products than current mass-media & print strategies.
